Business Development Friesland (BDF) helps other organisations to grow. BDF connects businesses, schools and governments and supports them to realise their economic, international and social ambitions. Both regionally in Friesland as well as internationally. The legal status of BDF is a foundation, from its origin and mission it serves the needs of the supporting the regional economy and employment. BDF cherishes start-up companies.
Since 2002, BDF actively supported over 200 start-up companies during their first steps. In recent years, with growing attention among HEI and VET institutes regarding entrepreneurship education, BDF is involved in curricula and course development provides guest lectures at these institutes in our region and supports students with their (virtual) business cases.
